Copenhagen Crafter is a small creative workshop in Copenhagen, where ideas are turned into functional and decorative products with a focus on good design, quality and the little details.
From idea to finished product
Copenhagen Crafter is created out of an interest in design, technology and creative problem-solving. The goal is to create products that both look good and make sense in the home – whether they solve a practical need or simply make everyday life a little cosier.
Hi, my name is Magnus
I am behind Copenhagen Crafter and follow the products all the way from the initial idea to the completed order.
I have a degree in civil engineering with a specialisation in architectural design and have always been fascinated by the intersection of technical solutions, creativity and aesthetics.
It began with an interest in 3D printing, design and product development. Gradually, the idea grew to create a place where I could develop both practical solutions and more decorative products for the home.
It became Copenhagen Crafter.
Small ideas can make a big difference
A good product doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's just about finding a better way to solve a small problem – or creating something that fits a little better into the home.
Therefore, I work with function, proportions, materials and expression when a new product is being developed.
The products are continuously tested and adjusted, and many are only manufactured when ordered. This allows for flexibility and at the same time means that large stocks do not need to be produced in advance.
If you need a different colour, size or a completely bespoke solution, it is often possible to adapt an existing product or develop something new.
Three things I always return to
Whether the product is practical, decorative or a bit of both, the development is based on the same principles.
Function
A functional product must first and foremost do what it was created to do – and preferably make everyday life a little easier.
Design
Practical things can also be attractive. That is why form, proportions and expression are worked with as part of the solution.
Quality
The products are assessed, tested and adjusted with a focus on a good and thorough end result.
How I work
New products are developed through a simple process where idea, design and testing go hand in hand.
Idea
It starts with a need, a challenge or just an idea that could be fun to bring to life.
Design
The idea is developed with a focus on form, function, proportions and how the product is to be manufactured.
Test
Prototypes and various solutions are tested until the result works and looks right.
Production
The finished product is manufactured, inspected, packed and prepared for its new owner.

Copenhagen Crafter is not a large warehouse with thousands of identical products. It is a small business where the path from idea to finished product is short.
Products and new ideas are developed locally from Copenhagen.
The products are manufactured in small quantities and often only when needed.
Many products can be manufactured in other colours or customised to special requirements.
